November School visits, Book Week Scotland
Review By Angus, Castlehill Primary, Age 9 years:
“I read ‘Vikings and Skylarks on Cumbrae’
by Maura McRobbie.
My favourite character is STEN because he is really kind to Moranna.
My favourite part of the story is when Moranna wants a sheepskin coat and when Sten realises that it’s her birthday and he gives her a pair of slippers as well.
I learned that King Alexander didn’t like the Vikings and that he really wanted them to go back to Norway.
Overall I would say it’s a really good book about Sten and Moranna’s relationship.
I rate it 5 stars.”
